About
The Old Court House Guest House is understood to be the oldest stone house in Ross, and completed in 1649. The house is at the top of the hill on which the attractive market town of Ross on Wye is based. The view from the top of the hill carries the eye from Hereford valley in the North and the river Wye down towards Gloucester. Ross is known for its hilltop and river walks, bringing visitors from London and the Midlands to enjoy scenic views and fresh air. Generations of visitors have loved the countryside of South Herefordshire. Sports include regattas on the river, horse-riding, and group cycling.
Accommodation
The guest house offers quality accommodation in a fine period property. Booking early is recommended. Please advise if you wish to bring a pet. The guest accommodation comprises:
Room 1= front room. £70 per night for one adult guest, £90 per night for two adult guests.
Room 2= garden room. £70 per night for one adult guest, £90 per night for two adult guests.
Room 3= single room. £70 per night for one adult guest.
Room 4= family room. Two adult guests is £200 per night. Otherwise, £50 per person per night.
Longer stays qualify for a discount.
The hilltop garden has views of the countryside. This is the one area on the premises where smoking is permitted. A deck with table and chairs offers a pleasant space to relax.
The guest house boasts a central location, just a brief walk from restaurants, breakfast cafes, and hairdresser. Cutlery, plates, and cereal bowls can be supplied to guests bringing their own breakfast.
The high street offers a wide choice of cuisines, from French to Italian to Chinese to Indian to Thai to Turkish. The local landlords know how to look after their beers.
Off-street car parking is available, on a first come first served basis.

There is a sofa and television, and free wifi is supplied. The windows give a view of the High Street.

The room has provision for complementary tea and coffee and biscuits with bottled water in the mini fridge. The king size bed has a king size duvet. There are two single beds with single duvets. Extra blankets are stored in the wardrobe. Free wifi is supplied, and one desk. The three armchairs and desk chair can be moved around the room to your preference or in front of the large television. The window gives a view of the High Street, and the alcove gives a view of the rooftops and St Mary’s Church tower. At no extra cost, a camp bed can be supplied for a fifth guest.
